An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our garage in Durham as a Shift Fitter reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, whilst maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles. The role will involve: * Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards. * Continuous improvement of vehicle standards * MOT preparation * Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA) * Shifts are 5 over 7 Sunday to Saturday, shifts between 05.00 and 17.30 Requirements: * Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ) * Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines * Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary * A PCV license is desirable but not necessary * Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable Benefits: * £19.03 p/h * 39 Hours per week - shifts to be discussed at interview * Overtime available at enhanced rate 1.5 x hourly rate * Contributory pension scheme * Great prospects for a rewarding career with progression and promotion opportunities * Free Bus pass for you and your family Did you know you can set up alerts for new job opportunities?
