Our client has an opportunity for a Software Testing Engineer to join them on a contract basis for 12 months with possible extension. You will be responsible for the end-to-end software testing and proving lifecycle for our simulation software releases and software defects. Your responsibilities will span planning, conduct, and reporting. Role: Software Testing Engineer Location: Stevenage, fully onsite. 4 days compressed will be considered Hours: 37 per week Hourly Rate: £65 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35 Clearance: Full SC to start, UK Eyes Only due to project What you'll be doing: Test/Proving Planning Understanding Customer needs and requirements from a proving perspective. Understanding design and architecture including defining software test bed requirements. Developing comprehensive software test plans, writing, and running test sets, designs, and specifications. Test/Proving Conduct Regular progressive software testing assurance during software development cycles. Leading testing of software defects. Liaising with our Support team in order to provide logs/data analysis when issues are identified. Demonstrate compliance to requirements. Executing formal software qualification testing. Test/Proving Reporting Providing regular updates to project leads and stakeholders on software functionality. Writing detailed software test and analysis reports for certification purposes.
