Purpose: As a Procurement Associate, you will be the custodian for monitoring the performance of the functional processes, as well as performing surveillance and assessment of supplier outstanding commitments and delivery timelines through the order book process, in a thriving NPI and OEM / AFM (Spares) environment. Fulfilment of the above will require you to assume accountability for collating, managing and transforming complex data into meaningful and value added performance information. This will assist the function in managing process and supplier performance, actioning insights and making informed decisions, through various governance practices. Collaborating closely with Procurement Project Specialists and Commodity Buyers will be a fundamental element of the role, to ensure key stakeholders are fully enabled and empowered to drive actions that mitigate delivery risk and resolve delivery issues. In addition, the role will support the function through driving compliance for Procurement data accuracy within the MRP system, and also aggregate data and metrics for management and leadership reporting. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a suite of KPI’s to measure the performance of functional processes, utilising Power BI capability where required, to further enhance data insights Update and own functional SQCDP data and inputs, in line with agreed governance Extract and analyse data to support measurement and assessment of supplier performance Support functional strategy through analysing spend and cost data, patterns and trends Produce insight led aggregated data and key performance indicators, available for management and leadership review (eg. Senior Management Meeting (SMM)) Gather data requirements, undertake analysis and develop analytical / reporting solutions for the function and other key stakeholders, on an ad-hoc basis as and when requested Develop and issue analytics to support functional master data accuracy within the MRP system Assess supplier outstanding commitments and delivery timelines through the order book process Identify and escalate supply chain delivery risks through collaboration with Procurement Project Specialists, which otherwise might impact operational flow and / or attainment of customer (programme) delivery milestones Procurement focal for undertaking and owning the transactional activities associated with order book management, to ensure clear and accurate supplier delivery due dates are represented in the MRP system Contribute to functional projects, for continuous improvement within the supply chain Key Performance Measures: Availability of data and KPI’s to measure functional key processes OTD for data inputs into functional governance (eg. SQCDP and management reviews) Integration of data into functional performance, insights and decision making Order book to MRP upload adherence (%) Knowledge: Knowledge of Procurement and / or Supply Chain principles, operating within the Engineering / Manufacturing sector, particularly in OEM, Aftermarket and NPI environments Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas) and Power BI Knowledgeable in the principles of materials, demand and supply management Understanding of operating within MRP / ERP systems Education: Educated to degree level although experience and / or vocational qualifications are also valued CIPS qualification / Advanced Practitioner or equivalent is encouraged Ability to demonstrate continuous personal development Skills and competencies required: Advanced technology skills (ERP, PowerBI, Microsoft Office) Ability to create, analyse, interpret, summarise and effectively communicate complex information Professional-level communication required (verbal, written, listening) Adept at maintaining business relationships and collaborating with stakeholders Able to proactively identify and evaluate issues, and problem solve with creative and innovative thinking, in complex and ambiguous situations Ability to develop and concisely deliver data, reports and presentations to internal stakeholders Strong initiative and commitment to accomplishing work and achieving results / deadlines Demonstrates exceptional customer service to stakeholders Offers new ideas and creative suggestions for continuous improvement Self-motivated and actively participates in professional development and training opportunities Leader or influencer of change (processes, projects, procedures) Good time management with the ability to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines Meticulous attention to detail and comfortable working with large volumes of data Champions methodical, organised and best practices for data governance Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment Collaborative team player able to work across functions, businesses and geographies Professional experience: Demonstrated experience in Procurement and / or Supply Chain (>2 years) Experience of managing and analysing complex data sets from multiple sources Demonstrated development and creation of data analytics and performance measures Demonstrated experience (>2 years) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment – Aerospace or highly regulated industry is preferred Sound understanding of end-to-end supply-chain planning and MRP / ERP systems
