Micheldever Tyres is looking for a Health & Safety Business Partner to cover the North providing professional health and safety advice and support, ensuring the workplace is a safe environment for all colleagues. Working as a Health & Safety Advisor you will help promote a safety conscious culture and provide advice and guidance to managers in order to assist them in meeting their H&S obligations. Business Partners will contribute to the development, coordination and implementation of H&S policies and procedures and will lead on project work that seeks to increase levels of H&S compliance across the business. It will be the responsibility of the Health & Safety Business Partner to provide H&S Advice, support, and guide operational colleagues in relation to activities and policies, ensuring the workplace is a safe environment and compliant with all relevant legislation. Your responsibility will be to support the H&S Manager in the delivery of this vital central service to approximately 100 physical locations across a geographical region. The successful candidate will * Provide professional health and safety advice and support to managers and other employees in line with the SHEQ Annual Plan * Carry out H&S audits across approximately 100 sites in your region of responsibility on a rolling basis * Contribute to the development, co-ordination and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures * Contribute to the implementation and conduct of preventative health, safety, and compliance training programs * Contribute to the implementation, management and maintenance of comprehensive SHEQ programs * Support the development of Emergency Action Plans for your region of responsibility and serve as contact for accident/incident investigation and case management, maintaining appropriate records as required from time to time. * Lead on project work that seeks to increase levels of H&S compliance across the business * Carry out compliance related assessments where appropriate The ideal candidate will * Be working in a similar role for a multi-site large scale company * Have experience of developing, co-ordinating and implementing H&S policies and procedures * Have experience of carrying out Risk assessments and management of risk assessments * Have conceptual planning ability * Have excellent Conflict management and problem-solving skills A NEBOSH General Certificate is required as a minimum What we offer: We are committed to developing individuals who demonstrate the ambition and drive to develop within our business.
