Job Specification - Deburr Technician (Aerospace) A position is available for a Deburr Technician to join our Aerospace client in Titchfield, working on a core day shift within an aerospace machine shop. The role focuses on drilling and deburring precision components using a range of manual and semi-automated techniques, ensuring all work meets quality, cost, and delivery targets. Contract initially until June 2027 In Spring 2027, the role will transfer to a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Lee-on-the-Solent - a European Centre of Excellence with significant investment in new machinery. Job Details Shift Pattern (Core Days): Monday to Thursday: 07:00 / 07:30 - 15:45 / 16:15 Friday: 07:00 / 07:30 - 11:00 / 11:30Pay Rates (MT4/Q4) First 12 Weeks Basic: £17.42 PAYE / £19.96 incl. holiday Overtime: X1.5 for after 37hrs and Saturdays, X2 for Sundays Earlies (10%): £19.17 PAYE / £21.95 incl. holiday Lates (20%): £20.91 PAYE / £23.95 incl. holidayAfter 12 Weeks Basic: £17.95 PAYE / £20.56 incl. holiday Overtime: X1.5 for after 37hrs and Saturdays, X2 for Sundays Earlies (10%): £19.75 PAYE / £22.62 incl. holiday Lates (20%): £21.54 PAYE / £24.67 incl. holidayRole Responsibilities Perform manual drilling and deburring of aerospace components Remove burrs and sharp edges to meet strict quality standards Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and pillar drills safely and effectively Interpret engineering drawings and specifications Carry out dimensional inspection using precision measuring equipmentEquipment and Processes Manual deburring tools and pneumatic equipment Pillar drills and drilling fixtures Measuring equipment (Verniers, micrometers, plug gauges, screw plug gauges) Deburring processes including: Manual deburring stations Vibratory or tumbling finishing (where applicable)Required Experience Previous experience in aerospace or a similar precision engineering environment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience with drilling and deburring operations Familiarity with inspection and measurement techniques Understanding of SPC data collection Mechanical or manufacturing backgroundDesirable: Experience using an electric windy gunCandidates must have the right to live and work in the UK and meet ITAR compliance requirements
