Job Opportunity: Trainee Estimator/Designer Location: Heathfield, Devon Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm Full-Time | Training Provided A well-established roofing company in Heathfield is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Trainee Estimator/Designer to support their roofing division, including metal sheeting, cladding, and flat roofing systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic construction experience looking to build a long-term career in technical estimating and design. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with drawing take-offs and material quantity calculations. * Support in ordering materials and coordinating project logistics. * Learn to prepare estimates for roofing systems, including metal sheeting, cladding, and flat roofing solutions. * Work on bespoke CAD designs as part of technical project development and detailing. Ideal Candidate Will: * Have on-site or trade-based construction experience. * Be comfortable interpreting architectural and technical drawings. * Be confident with measurements and construction methods. * Have basic computer skills (Excel, PDFs, etc.); CAD experience is a plus. * Be organised, reliable, and eager to learn and grow within the role.
