The site in Manchester has undergone significant development and is full of the latest manufacturing technology and is a world class manufacturing site. As a result of this new technology and increased demand for their services they are now looking for a Production Shift Manager to join their team. The Role: Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Production Shift Manager will include: To proactively drive a continuous improvement culture that drives for operational excellence. Maintain and improve upon machine standards, cleanliness, and organisation of working areas. Accountable for deploying the operational strategy, identifying opportunities, and driving operational improvements that further enhance the shift performance. increased performance of the shift. Works closely with the other shift managers to ensure resource sharing is optimized. Communicate with all areas of the business to ensure the continual operation of the manufacturing process. Overview and responsibility for the shift training matrix ensuring we have the right skills in the right place. A key part of the Management team, the Production Shift Manager will be performance and process focussed, using data to drive an effective team that are performance focused and culturally aligned with the expectations of the business. The Candidate: To be successful in your application as a Production Shift Manager you must have the following skills or attributes: Experience of working in a manufacturing environment and utilising lean manufacturing principles to drive performance improvements. Experience of managing and leading a team Strong people and performance management skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate and engage a team to succeed through coaching and development of skills, knowledge and attitude and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction. Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues. Drives change and improvements. Ability to show resilience and a flexible approach. Strong data drive problem-solving skills and able to establish logical, practical solutions.
