Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join a leading and fast-growing manufacturer within the automotive/ aerospace industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing purchasing strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and goals, ensuring cost-effective procurement, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives and goals. * Identify and source suppliers that provide high-quality materials at competitive prices. * Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement. * Manage the purchasing process, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory management. * Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. * Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply. * Continually monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and pricing standards. * Manage and develop a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance and support as needed. Skills and Experience Required: * Proven experience in a progressive manufacturing environment. * Demonstrated management skills that ensure supply chain alignment, empowering, motivating, and inspiring confidence in others. * Effective time management skills, adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks. * Broad knowledge of commodities related to aerospace seat builds. * Experience in negotiating and implementing legal contracts. * Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and inventory control processes. * Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with commercial supplier organizations and negotiating with suppliers. * Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, VA/VE, problem-solving tools, and components of a lean/continuous improvement work environment. * Ability to present data effectively to all levels of the business. * Strong commercial acumen. * Five years of similar supply chain experience within manufacturing, preferably aerospace. * Builds positive working relationships with direct reports and peer groups. * Proven ability to make business decisions based on quantitative data and weigh alternative solutions. * Clean and current driving license required; occasional business travel may be necessary. * CIPS accreditation or relevant related degree depending on industry experience.
