A major commercial vehicle manufacturer is looking for a parts advisor who is ready to make the step up to Part Supervisor or someone who is already a Parts Supervisor to manage a small commercial vehicle parts team. HGV or commercial vehicle part experience is ideal or similar in automotive, plant, capital equipment, agriculture or construction vehicles. ROLE: Parts Advisor or Parts Supervisor BASIC SALARY: £35k to £38k LOCATION: Reading BENEFITS: Overtime, Target based bonus, commission, pension, life assurance ROLE: As a Parts Supervisor you are responsible for the control of front and rear parts counters and controlling stock movements. The Specifics * Inventory Parts Management: Maintain accurate Parts inventory levels through regular stock audits, ordering parts as needed to meet demand without overstocking or understocking. * Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and manage a team of parts personnel, ensuring that they meet department goals and deliver excellent service to customers and internal departments. * Customer Service: Oversee customer service activities, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment of customer orders. Handle customer complaints or issues, ensuring satisfaction. * Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with parts suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure the timely delivery of parts. * Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor and manage the department's budget, controlling costs and ensuring profitability while maintaining high-quality standards. * Compliance: Ensure the parts department complies with all safety regulations and company policies. * Sales and Marketing Support: Support the sales and service departments by ensuring they have the necessary parts to complete their jobs efficiently. * Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory status, staff performance, customer satisfaction, and departmental efficiency. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Got to have parts experience and are ready to make the step up to Supervisor level or are already a parts supervisor. Ideally like someone with HGV, Truck or commercial vehicle parts sector experience or similar, plant, agricultural / construction vehicles, capital equipment etc
