Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Job Type: Contract Work Type: Onsite, Outside IR35 Industry: Advanced Manufacturing Job Location: Gloucestershire Rate: £32.00/hr to £45.00/hr Job Role – Mechanical Design Engineer Reporting to the Programme Manager the Mechanical Design Engineer shall be responsible for taking customer requirements and producing concepts in Catia V5 which will then turn into working models/assemblies and then into manufacturing drawings. Duties – Mechanical Design Engineer • Computer Aided Design - 3D CAD using Catia. Producing 3D models of parts and assemblies, Mechanical drawings & Bills of Materials. • Support customer design reviews in conjunction with the project managers and produce evidence of reviews to ensure quality documents are created. • Estimate project timescales to support quotation process and plan own workload to meet these timescales. • Create stress reports using hand calcs and Catia FE package. • Support manufacturing with model creation and stage drawings. Experience/Qualifications – Mechanical Design Engineer • Experience utilising Catia, Catia FE Candidates who are currently a Design Engineer, Draughts Person, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Sustainment Engineer, Design Engineer, Analysis Engineer, Stress Engineer and Principal Mechanical Engineer.
