Elevation Recruitment Group are working alongside a manufacturer based in Sherburn, Leeds to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing driveline systems for vehicle applications. Our client is looking for someone who is a self-starter, motivated and with a CI mindset, continuously looking to improve product designs, performance, reliability and aftermarket services.  Duties of the Mechanical Engineer will include: Research, design and develop driveline systems for commercial vehicle application Support the application and integration of driveline systems into vehicles from concept to production release Support driveline engineering tasks for new and existing product Provide technical guidance for other engineering and manufacturing business functions Perform engineering calculations and simulations for design and validation Support supplier liaison activities for engineering and manufacturing  Support the delivery of driveline projects to meet programme targets of quality, function, cost, weight, and time.  Provide technical support for root cause analysis of development issues.  Create and present concise technical reports and presentations for informed decision making.  Coordinate, lead and participate in design reviews. We are keen to speak with Mechanical Engineers with the following experience: Degree level education in an engineering field Experience in commercial or passenger vehicle driveline engineering.
