Consilium Recruit has been selected as exclusive partner by a global leading manufacturer of precision components to manage their recruitment of a new Continuous Improvement Manager. Candidates will be tasked with driving a continuous improvement philosophy while working hands on applying lean manufacturing tools and applicants are sought with experience working in a complex manufacturing environment. Commutable from: Glasgow, Hamilton, Coatbridge, Edinburgh, Livingston, Cumbernauld Salary: £ 45,000 - £ 55,000 p.a. + benefits Suitable For: CI Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager, CI Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer. The Role Identify areas for improvement in the shop floor layout, processes, equipment, etc. Work with the management and production teams to deliver improvement opportunities. Drive improvements that deliver efficiency and cost saving targets. Analyse production processes and procedures against the assigned projects. Developing enhancement strategies and identify shortfalls. Collaborating with other stakeholders to enhance productivity and efficiency. Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes. Delivery of improvement projects to achieve production targets/ cost savings and KPIs. Elimination of waste, in pursuit of tangible customer value. Identification, planning and implementation of initiatives that improve efficiency and utilisation. Standardisation of working practises and processes Support the product industrialisation and design-for-manufacture. The Person Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (in a continuous improvement position) Experience of modern manufacturing practices, processes and organisational design. Knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing tools, techniques and working practices. A track record of implementing process improvements and controls. Hold a relevant degree in Manufacturing, Engineering (or equivalent), or experience to an equivalent depth. For more information send a CV to Alex Price
