Key Responsibilities: Managing the Workshop: Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of all repair and maintenance jobs. Team Leadership: Lead, support, and motivate a team of technicians, ensuring high standards of work and optimal performance. Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on completed jobs to ensure all work meets the dealership's high standards. Customer Service: Liaise with service advisors and customers to provide updates on work progress, ensuring customer satisfaction. Resource Management: Allocate work to technicians based on their skill levels and availability, ensuring the best use of workshop resources. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities within the workshop comply with health and safety regulations. Training & Development: Identify training needs within the team and support ongoing professional development of the technicians. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all work completed and provide regular reports to senior management. Requirements: Experience: Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or similar role within a main dealership environment. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of automotive repair and maintenance procedures. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, technicians, and management. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues as they arise.
