Workshop Manager/Workshop Manager Edenbridge Up to £40,000 Full-Time, Permanent Are you a motivated and experienced workshop controller/manager or do you consider yourself a automative expert? if you think are i have the role for you. I am looking for a dynamic and well-established automotive provider. The role i have is located in Edenbridge, Kent and i would be looking for someone who would be willing to travel to different sites around the Kent area. Responsibilities: 1. Team Leadership: * Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring a positive and productive working environment. * Provide guidance, coaching, and support to enhance the skills and performance of workshop staff. * Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. 2. Workshop Operations: * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient and timely completion of all tasks. * Schedule and prioritize jobs to maximize workshop capacity and meet customer deadlines. * Monitor and maintain high-quality work standards to meet company and industry regulations. 3. Customer Service: * Interact with customers to understand their vehicle service needs and address any concerns. * Ensure excellent customer service through effective communication and resolution of issues. * Strive to exceed customer expectations in terms of service quality and turnaround times. 4. Inventory Management: * Manage workshop inventory, including ordering and maintaining necessary parts and supplies. * Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize resources. 5. Health and Safety: * Uphold and enforce health and safety standards within the workshop. * Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to ensure a secure working environment. 6. Budget Management: * Work closely with the management team to develop and adhere to the workshop budget. * Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and service standards. Qualifications and Skills: * Proven experience in a workshop management role within the automotive industry. * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Excellent organizational and time management abilities. * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. * Knowledge of automotive repair processes and industry best practices. * Proficient in using workshop management software and other relevant tools.
