Vehicle Technician Location: Cardiff, Wales Salary: £32,000 – £55,000 (DOE & experience) Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (overtime available) About the Role We are looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our busy service department in Reading. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards while delivering a high-quality customer experience. Key Responsibilities * Carry out routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles * Diagnose faults using manufacturer diagnostic tools * Perform MOT repairs and pre-delivery inspections (where applicable) * Ensure all work meets manufacturer standards and safety regulations * Maintain accurate job cards, records, and reporting * Assist with workshop cleanliness, organisation, and compliance * Work efficiently to achieve workshop KPIs and targets * Support apprentices and junior technicians as required About You * Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or qualified automotive engineer * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (preferred) * Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills * Able to work independently and as part of a team * Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship * Experience with manufacturer diagnostic systems (preferred) * Full UK driving licence What’s On Offer * £32,000 – £55,000, depending on experience and qualifications * Monday–Friday working hours with overtime opportunities * Manufacturer training and ongoing development * Career progression within a growing dealer group * Pension scheme and staff benefits * Modern, well-equipped workshop environment
