We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner on behalf of a prominent logistics company based in Doncaster. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and optimize transportation schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods. * Coordinate with drivers to manage routes and address any operational issues that arise during the shift. * Monitor transport activities and provide real-time updates to relevant stakeholders. * Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies. * Maintain detailed records of logistics operations and prepare reports as needed. * Continuously seek opportunities to improve route efficiency and reduce operational costs. Qualifications: * Proven experience in transport planning, logistics, or a related field. * Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, customers, and team members. * Proficiency in transport planning software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards. Preferred Skills: * Experience with route optimization software and logistics management systems. * Familiarity with the Doncaster area and surrounding logistics networks. * Ability to work efficiently under pressure and make informed decisions quickly.
