Transport Planner  Little Hulton, Manchester £28,000 - £32,000 Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 17:00 Situated in Little Hulton, I am currently hiring an experienced Transport Planner to join a family-run organization specializing in Road Haulage and Construction operations across the UK. They are in search of a skilled Transport Planner to enhance the existing transport operation, playing a key role in supporting the logistics function and providing customers with a seamless end-to-end solution for their transport needs. The Candidate; Transport Planning experience is essential. Previous experience within the Aggregate Supply, Waste or similar industry is essential. Experience of using Sterling planning systems preferred but not essential. Ability to work as part of a team and have strong communication skills. Previous experience of working to targets in a fast-paced environment. Must be proactive, highly driven and can work under their own initiative. Must have good time keeping and organisational skills. An excellent team player, able to work on own initiative and make decisions. A positive attitude towards customer service and continuous improvement Ability to question, challenge and improve upon existing processes. An effective communicator and good geographic knowledge. Duties and Responsibilities; To Plan allocated resource pool legally, compliantly, and efficiently ensuring all EU and WTD legislation is achieved. Achieve Weekly Vehicle targets and minimise cost against KPI’s. Work closely with colleagues within the planning team to ensure fleet utilisation is optimal. Monitor and manage vehicle movements from point of origin to destination. Report all non-conformances to customers in a timely manner. Liaise with customers to agree additional charges accordingly. Comply with the Company’s trading standards and conditions, including agreed accounting and credit control processes. Ensure all jobs are completed in full and charged completed for accounts to process invoices. Take appropriate action on any Health & Safety issues reported with due regard to the urgency and risk presented ensuring compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety policy.
