We are currently seeking a Technical Manager to join our team and take charge of a growing team of technical and production managers. Key Responsibilities: * Team Management: Lead and develop a dynamic team of technical and production managers. * Workshop Efficiency: Maintain workshop productivity, ensuring efficiency aligns with requirements through effective collaboration with onsite departments. * Process Improvement: Develop and enhance systems and processes to increase overall efficiency and output. * Budget Management: Ensure adherence to budgets, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising delivery. * Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Attend weekly Head of Department meetings and collaborate with the broader Bruntingthorpe management team to meet SLAs. * Compliance: Ensure all work aligns with current warranty procedures, conducting daily liaison with the warranty department. Oversee risk assessments, SSOW, manual handling, and COSHH assessments. * Environmental Policies: Ensure workshop compliance with Cox Automotive environmental policies. * Quality Standards: Monitor and uphold the highest standards of workmanship on vehicles. * Documentation: Ensure accurate completion of warranty paperwork and manage stock levels with the parts supervisor. * People Management: Work with the People and Recruitment team to drive engagement, attract and retain talent, and address performance and conduct issues. * Guiding Principles: Champion Our Guiding Principles - doing the right things, leading by example, and bringing out the best in everyone. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience: * High level of technical knowledge gained through experience in the relevant field. * Familiarity with Pathfinder diagnostic software & Topix systems is advantageous. * Experience in a large-scale automotive or manufacturing environment. * Strong focus on achievement and delivery with a creative and pragmatic problem-solving approach. * Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop a diverse team. * Thorough knowledge of Health and Safety practices and procedures. * Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with strong presentation, influencing, and negotiation abilities. * Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. * Reliability and accountability, with an agile approach to work ensuring deliverables are met within defined timescales. * Performance review and skills development for direct reports.
