The role will be responsible for actively driving down cost of poor quality through scrap, yield, and rework projects while strengthening processes and embedding a zero defects mindset. Quality Engineer Permanent Salary dependent on experience Monday – Friday Leicester Quality Engineer Job Description Leading quality improvement projects and managing corrective actions to reduce yield loss, scrap, and rework while aligning with business goals and achieving <1% cost of poor quality. Responding quickly to shopfloor quality issues, fixing defects at source, and developing robust solutions to prevent reoccurrence across all manufacturing cells. Conducting root cause analysis using 8D, RCCA, and Zero Defect tools including PFMEA, Control Plans, and MSA to drive process risk reduction and compliance. Planning and performing internal audits, analysing results, and supporting teams in implementing effective corrective and preventative actions with regular audit reporting. Reviewing non-conformance data, presenting quality trends, supporting training and awareness activities, and promoting quality culture aligned with customer expectations and business efficiency.
