Qualification Engineer Location: Cheltenham Duration: 12 months contract Rate Up to £70ph - Umbrella (Inside IR35) Role Summary: My client is looking for a Qualification Engineer who will be responsible for the set-up, execution and reporting of qualification tests within timeframes. Essential Responsibilities: Perform qualification testing on products Vibration and various mechanical tests Temperature, pressure and various environmental tests Electrical Power Variations tests Enable projects to enter qualification on time and meet schedule requirements Support shifts work where necessary To write Qualification Test Reports Liaise with projects to ensure the test requirements are correct and are met during the initial and de-risk activities to ensure the qualification program runs smoothly Travel off site to support testing of EMC and other miscellaneous environmental tests Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments Ensure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures Desired characteristics/Qualifications: Experience of RTCA DO-160 or MIL-STD-810 or similar standard Experience with Aircraft based qualification testing A positive attitude, initiative, pro-activeness and an enthusiasm and passion for engineering Demonstrable success in achieving and exceeding internal customer milestones Good problem solving and solution building skills Good communication skills to team, peers, and management HNC level or above in an electronic/engineering discipline plus significant experience, or other equivalent knowledge and experience appropriate to Qualification Testing Experience of technical report writing and Microsoft Word and Excel Experience of Mechanical and Electrical equipment, especially working with live electrical testing Should you be interested in the role then please apply with CV to
