Project Manager Gloucestershire Manufacturing/Engineering/Aerospace This opportunity is with an exciting high growth business with a strong employee centric culture. 25 days holiday with the option to buy more, pension scheme, free parking, company performance related bonus Job Role: To provide Project management excellence and support in line with approved procedures Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Manage allocated projects from conception to completion, using appropriate methodologies (PRINCE2 or equivalent) Work with business functions and project stakeholders to define the project approach Definition of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), estimates and resource requirements Identification and application of project dependencies and activity sequencing Monitor adherence to project plans and milestone achievement, taking appropriate action where timing is compromised, or the critical path affected Risk & Opportunity Management throughout the project lifecycle, Manage the project to the agreed scope and act upon any proposed changes in scope Monitor and report upon project outputs and acceptance criteria Provide day-to-day direction and support to the project team Manage the preparation and update of project documentation sets Implementation of project Quality Assurance Monitoring of planned resource utilisation vs basis of estimate Managing internal resources to ensure timely allocation to planned activities and effective release of resources to business-as-usual Contribute towards the collation of project budgets Monitor and report on progress of the project to applicable stakeholders Manage Third Party contributions to the Project Build effective working relationships with all stakeholders, manage internal and external communications from the project Implement and undertake Lessons Learned contributions and follow-up with the business as required Preparation of project Gate Reviews and evidence of deliverables/acceptance criteria being achieved Monitor actual, committed and planned project spend vs budget Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative Additional Responsibilities: Adhere to legislation governing employment, including but not restricted to; health and safety, data protection, equal opportunities, quality assurance ensuring compliance with statutory and local policies and procedures. Undertake other duties commensurate with the role that may be required from time to time. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Project management - ideally within the Manufacturing/Engineering/Aerospace industry.
