Role: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Leicester Sector: Manufacturing Salary: £35,000 - £43,000 Owen Daniels Consultancy has engaged with a key client and an established Design & Manufacturing company providing a wide range of services to the Aerospace and Automotive industries, and high-profile clients. Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join on a permanent basis. Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities: Creating layout designs for quoting purposes. Generating the technical design and specifications for the broach tool according to customer inquiries. Developing 2D and 3D CAD production drawings with Autodesk Inventor. Assisting the Technical Department in analysing root causes of technical issues and offering design assistance. Providing technical support to the production department for inquiries Key Skills & Qualifications: Minium Qualification required is a HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in a previous Engineering Design role using 2D and 3D CAD Software (Autodesk Inventor preferred). Experience within a Precision Engineering setting is preferrable.  Benefits: 25 days holiday + 8 BH. Pension Scheme. Early Friday finish.
