Mechanic Permanent, Full-Time Location: Based at a modern, custom-built workshop facility just outside of Banchory Salary: £20 – £25 per hour depending on individual experience Van + Fuel Provided About the Role Activus Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Farm & Estate business to recruit an experienced Mechanic to join their growing team. You’ll be working from a purpose-built workshop, delivering high-quality maintenance and repairs to a mixed fleet of machinery and vehicles. Role Breakdown: * Plant machinery – 40% * Agricultural machinery – 40% * Trucks/HGVs – 20% A company van and fuel card are provided as part of the mobile fleet support package. Key Responsibilities * Working from a modern, custom-built workshop facility * Carrying out general servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs across plant, agricultural and truck fleets * Responding to breakdowns and providing mobile support where required (van provided) * Ensuring all machinery is maintained to a high operational and safety standard * Liaising with the operations team to prioritise work and manage fleet uptime Requirements * Proven mechanical experience with plant, agricultural machinery, and/or HGV/truck systems * Full UK Driving Licence (essential) * Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills * Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively Desirable (but not essential) * HGV Licence * Experience operating plant or agricultural machinery What’s on Offer * Permanent, full-time position * Competitive pay of £20 – £25 per hour (DOE) * Company van and fuel provided * Stable role within a reputable, growing business with varied mechanical work
