We are currently seeking a Master HGV Technician to work a full time, permanent contract for our prestigious client based in Cardiff. This position is for an experienced HGV Technician responsible for maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard. Job details: Location: Cardiff Salary: £18-£20 per hour // £41,640 - £45,800 DOE Are you a skilled and experienced HGV Technician with a passion for mastering your craft? Key Responsibilities: Diagnostic Expertise: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies to identify and resolve complex issues with heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). Repair and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of HGVs, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance the overall team's skillset. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards, promoting safety and reliability. Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry developments, technological advancements, and emerging trends to maintain mastery of HGV maintenance and repair techniques. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Requirements: Qualifications: A relevant technical qualification (NVQ L3 or equivalent) or apprenticeship in HGV maintenance. Experience: 2 years minimum in dealership experience and a track record of successfully diagnosing, repairing and carrying out MOT's on HGV's. Technical Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools, with a deep understanding of HGV systems and components. Experience with dealership systems essential. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and guide a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment. Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the ever-evolving HGV industry.
