Job Title: Master HGV Technician Location: East London Salary: £33.47p/h or £1,255 per week The Master HGV Technician will be the focal point in the depot for complex technical issues and OBD diagnostics.  In this role as a Master HGV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs and advice on engines, gearboxes, axles and electrical faults including body systems on a modern fleet of Passenger Service Vehicles Benefits the Master HGV Technician could expect:  Generous workplace pension Employee Assistance programme Free Travel on TfL Buses Career development and secondment opportunitiesWhat you'll do as the Master HGV Technician: Routine servicing, repair and maintenance of the PSV Fleet to highest DVSA standards Be conversant and have in depth knowledge of all PSV Electrical and mechanical workings.   Undertake diagnostic investigations on vehicle defects including: Engines, fuel systems, turbos, all braking systems including air, hydraulic, ABS/EBS. Keep up to date of any technical industry updates and equipment used Be first point of contact for in depth fault finding and repairs on various bus types. Assist in the training of other Technicians and apprentices Service and repair wheelchair ramps from various manufacturers. Attend roadside breakdowns when required Maintain detailed records of all work carried out, including parts used and time taken. Fully comply with all HS&E legislation and group policies. What you'll need to be a Master HGV Technician: NVQ level 3, City & Guilds, Time Served or equivalent qualifications in HGV / PSV Maintenance Full UK Driving licence  Previous PSV / HGV Technician advanced experience Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Fully conversant with the safe operation of workshop equipment and the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems.
