It involves delegating tasks while maintaining authority, encouraging innovation, and fostering a confident, proactive team. Responsibilities: Lead strategy development, NPI, and support business sales and operations planning. Drive continuous improvement using Lean methodology. Build strategic internal and external partnerships to support business objectives. Improve team performance, reduce setup times, and ensure staff development and succession planning. Meet or exceed operational targets within budget (safety, quality, cost, etc.). Lead, motivate, and develop the engineering team. Collaborate with sister companies to deliver solutions and enhance capabilities. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Hold an engineering qualification HND or higher CAD/CAM expertise (Siemens NX preferable) Experience working within a highly regulated industry medical, nuclear, aerospace – will consider automotive (not motorsports) Managerial experience in engineering/manufacturing environments Experience working in a high-volume production environment. Will have worked in a company where they have first time practise as there is no room for errors. Will have led a team within a busy manufacturing environment Happy to be hands on as and when needed.
