What will I be doing? - Enabling the Structures Manufacturing Engineering community to progress to the next level, a requirement has emerged for a highly competent Assembly Specialist. This role will be required to: - Act as the focal point/SME on-site with regards to Assembly processes, with a need to utilise the expertise within the wider Safran group via networking with the Specialist/Expert community. - Maximise the capability of the existing production method via identification of improvement opportunities. - Work closely with the Production and Quality departments to, define, implement and maintain assembly processes used in the manufacture of large aircraft nacelle structures (Thrust Reversers and Fan Cowl Doors). - Ensure world-class, financially sustainable processes are established .These could be fully-automated, semi-automated or entirely manual assembly processes. - Effectively manage all assembly process risks associated with HSE, capability, capacity and finance. - Ensure that effective process planning is in place to support manufacture across multiple assembly lines, taking into account the different production constraints of rate and Takt time. - Define, implement and maintain capable processes, proven via the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
