You’ll keep a mixed fleet running safely and efficiently with high‑quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs—within a supportive, team‑focused environment that values development and long‑term progression. The role — HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter Perform routine maintenance, MOT prep and emergency repairs on HGVs, trailers and site equipment Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults using modern diagnostic tools/schematics Complete repairs to DVSA/manufacturer standards within agreed timescales Maintain accurate records (job cards, parts, compliance) and uphold strong workshop housekeeping Order parts as required; support continuous improvement across workshop processes Mentor junior technicians and collaborate with other teams to improve efficiency What you’ll bring 3+ years’ experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / Commercial Vehicle Technician (industrial/recycling experience welcomed) Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including hydraulics, pneumatics and electrics (welding a plus) Proven ability to troubleshoot a wide range of issues and deliver right‑first‑time repairs Full UK driving licence (HGV preferred, not essential) Positive, safety‑first mindset and clear communication; comfortable mentoring others Pay, hours & type Salary: £45,(Apply online only) Hours: 42.5 per week, Monday–Friday Job type: Permanent Location: Cheltenham Benefits Overtime opportunities 30 days’ holiday incl.
