My client is looking for an engineering workshop Grinder to join on them on a permanent basis close to Heathrow Airport. You'll support the Aviation MRO workshop by performing high-precision grinding operations on aircraft components using cylindrical and surface grinding machines. This global employer supports your training & personal development, with a view to progression within the business. Role: Grinder Technician (Permanent) Pay: £29,000 - £32,000 plus shift allowance Location: Close to Heathrow Airport with free parking Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday Week one (early shift), Week two (late shift) Job Profile To operate all types of grinding machines to fine limits To be able to work with cylindrical and surface grinding machines To be able to read and understand technical drawings The position involves the training and use of overhead cranes The job requires the applicant to understand manual handling The job requires the use of hand tools, power tools and complex machinery Skills/Experience Required Extensive experience working internal and external grinding machines. Knowledge of both is essential. Experience of working with cylindrical and surface grinding machines Aerospace background not essential but would be beneficial.
