Fabricator / Welder Permanent Role Up to £33,000 Per Annum Working hours - 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE We are looking for suitably qualified fabricator/welder with bodyshell experience and to assist with the conversion of bespoke production vehicles for an industry respected client and manufacturer of production parts. PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION Qualifications and Experience • Experience in production vehicle fabrication and repair. • Experienced in TIG welding but capability in MIG welding an advantage. • Experience in welding any of following materials - Aluminium, 4130/T45/15CDV6 steel and Stainless steel. • Must be capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings, as well as working freehand as required. • Knowledge of brake press, punches, hand tools and sheet metal work an advantage. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities • Ensure accurate fabrication of all components to engineering drawings. • Ensure timescales are met for fabrication aspect of the conversion process. • Ensuring the highest quality on showroom level vehicles • Maintain a clean and orderly workplace. • Excellent time management. • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time • Compliance with all departmental H&S requirements • Compliance, where appropriate with management, & environmental, systems, such as ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Special aptitudes • Confidential in all matters • A creative thinker not afraid to suggest new ways of doing things • Team mentality especially important. • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills • Ability to work in, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment • Ability to work co-operatively with others to complete tasks and implement process improvements • Determination to improve, grow and contribute to the department’s success Disposition • Flexible and cooperative attitude essential. • Approachable, professional manner. • An assertive but calm demeanour • Self-motivated • Ability to listen to customer needs and respond accordingly Requirements • Good timekeeping and attendance record • Willing to be flexible with hours to ensure tasks are completed on time • Neat and tidy appearance • Completer/Finisher Any employee may be asked on occasion to perform additional or unrelated duties, after appropriate training has been given, if required.
