This test engineer role involves investigating, fault finding and resolving any electrical issues to support the development of new and existing machinery systems. * This is a “hands-on” test engineer role where you will be responsible for validation and verification tests, building and setting up test equipment, carrying out electrical testing, analysis of collected data and producing the necessary reports and documentation. * As an Electrical Test Engineer you will support sizable test packages, support the design team and liaise with external test resources. To be successful in this position, test engineers will need to come with a broad range of electrical fault-finding skills to understand and test electrical schematics, power calculations and harness system tests for any part of the machine. Other skills: Test Engineer * HNC or degree in electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, automotive or similar * Demonstrate ability to take responsibility for the electrical test, fault finding and build of electrical subsystems and working with design teams to suggest changes * Process driven with a good grasp of DVP, DFMEA, test process development and sign-off * Background working on heavy machinery, generators, rolling stock, Oil and Gas or electrical distribution systems * Ability to work as part of a large team interacting with engineers internally as well as external suppliers and test facilities * Fault tree analysis / FMEA / practical problem solving * This role would suit electrical test engineers, technicians, electrical service engineers, validation engineers or military personnel with strong electrical skills. The company requires engineers to be on site at Rocester, Staffordshire and offer up to £8000 relocation support as well as a bonus, private health, pension and 33 days holiday.
