Daniel Owen are pleased to be working with a large key player within the south for all things vehicle servicing, based in Salisbury, Wiltshire we are looking for Workshop Managers/Controllers to join and oversee a team of experienced and motivated technicians. Responsibilities: Operational Management: Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the automotive workshop. Develop and implement efficient workflow processes to optimize productivity and meet service deadlines. Oversee vehicle diagnosis, repair, and maintenance processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of automotive technicians and support staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for skill development. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement. Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their automotive service needs and provide clear explanations of required repairs and associated costs. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Implement customer service initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience. Inventory and Resource Management: Manage inventory levels, order parts, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely availability of required materials. Monitor and control workshop expenses, keeping costs within budgetary constraints. Optimize the utilization of equipment and resources to maximize efficiency. Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control measures to ensure all automotive repairs meet or exceed industry standards. Implement and monitor safety protocols to create a secure working environment for both employees and customers.Requirements: Proven experience as an Automotive Workshop Manager or a similar role. In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Customer-focused mindset with effective communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with automotive industry trends and technologies. Technical background in automotive repair is preferred.
