Job Title: Workshop Manager Location: Crawley, RH10 9LW Salary: £40,000 + Bonus – OTE £55,000 Full Time and Permanent Our client is an automotive retailer representing prestigious car Brands, they have a total of 30 businesses providing sales, service, and accident repair services across Sussex, Surrey, Kent, and Hampshire. Established in 1931, they are a successful and progressive third-generation family-owned business. They are now actively looking to recruit a Workshop Manager for their Premium Car Dealership in Crawley. The Workshop Manager will be overseeing 18 ramps and currently 16 Technicians. Job Purpose The role of the Workshop Manager is to: * Manage the process of optimising workshop resources to meet agreed departmental budgets. * Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the department. Key Responsibilities * Calculate and manage the effective use of workshop resources for the business. * Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met. * Plan the distribution of work amongst the team utilising available skills mix. * Identify individual training and development needs. * Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress. * Manage workshop standards in accordance with brand standards requirements. * Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of manufacturer service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators. * Maintain and develop own skills and technical knowledge. * Maintain safe working practices and abide by the working rules and standards of the business. Candidates must have previous experience as a Workshop Manager / Service Manager in a busy dealership. Candidates must have a full and valid driving licence.
