We're seeking a Workshop Controller to oversee the day-to-day operations of our workshop and lead our team of technicians to ensure efficient workflow and top-quality repairs for our customers. As Workshop Controller, you'll be responsible for managing and motivating a team of technicians, maximising productivity, and ensuring repairs are completed accurately and on time. You'll also step in to carry out repairs when necessary, providing support during periods of absence within the team. Your role will include overseeing health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with workshop practices, and conducting quality control checks to ensure repairs meet BSI PAS 10125 standards. About You We're looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes: * Extensive understanding of the repair industry, vehicle legislation, and trade practices, ideally with experience as an MET, Panel, or Paint Technician in an accident repair background. * Supervisory experience is preferred, demonstrating the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. * Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including EPA provisions and risk assessments, with a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment. * Experience working in a fast-paced workshop environment, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. * Proven ability to plan and organize work, as well as delegate tasks to others when necessary. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism at all times.
