Techniche Global are supporting leading automotive manufacturer to appoint a Wheel Design Engineer This role is working on the Design Engineering of Wheels, Wheel Covers and Alloy Wheels for new Vehicles. Key responsibilities: Manage application of global design and follow the development at system/ module level Supplier management (cost/ quality and timing) Use of CAD system for 3D and 2D part design Meeting regulation requirements Managing and reporting test validation, cost performance, part quality/ reliability, adoption timing and delivery, styling feedbacks with styling team and aerodynamics Technical analysis of market concerns Work within a cross functional global team (mainly Japan, Germany, France, Spain) Main location will be office based in NTCE Cranfield but role can include travel to suppliers and other plants Qualifications and Experienced required:   Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) IT literate, competent user of all Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook. Knowledge of FEA tools applicable to mechanical structure Knowledge of CAD system Siemens NX or other CAD systems Valid driving licence for UK and European countries
