Warehouse Manager : Salary - Up to £30k - DOE 37.5 hrs per week Portsmouth PO6 We are currently seeking an experienced well organised Warehouse Manager to join our expanding Tooling Manufacturing Business based on the south coast. As Warehouse Manager you will have at least 5 years proven experience in a similar role and be able to hit the ground running. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and develop a brand-new warehouse and implement process and procedure accordingly. Your duties will include but not be limited to: * Creating and Maintaining computerised administration, stock inventory and retrieval systems. * Overseeing logistics of receiving, warehousing and dispatch operations. * Inspecting and approving the quality and quantity of goods or equipment received and shipped out. * Enforcing health & safety and security procedures. * Enforcing company rules and regulations. * Using real-time data collection to increase accuracy and lower labour costs. * Managing staff, building teams, training employees and monitoring production performance. * Communicating and interacting with clients, vendors, suppliers and customers. * Meeting regularly with warehouse leads to assess, analyse and develop actionable plans for loss prevention and productivity. * Performing general maintenance of the machinery used in the warehouse. Skills required * Must have a strong understanding and proven experience of implementing H&S in the workplace * Must be able to demonstrate proven experience in a similar role within a similar industry * Must be able to demonstrate proven basic electrical/carpentry/masonry/plumbing repair skills * Ability to read technical manuals * Confident in the use of hand tools * Forklift license (highly desirable but not essential) * Driving license essential The successful candidate will benefit from a completive salary as well as company benefits including 24 days annual holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension plan and uniform allocation
