Vehicle Test & Development Technician - Emissions & EV Range ASL Technical have an exciting opportunity to work within a Vehicle Development Engineering Technical Centre working on the development of current and future vehicles. As the successful Vehicle Technician, you will be involved in a variety of development activities, from prototype vehicle exhaust emission & electric vehicle range testing in order to meet current and future Legislative requirements As the successful Vehicle Technician, you will be involved in: Vehicle Chassis Dynamometer operation Drive Emissions test cycles to Directive & Homologation Standard On-road emissions testing Emissions analysis measurement Vehicle dis-assembly, assembly, & maintenance Vehicle fault finding Component measuring Instrumentation set-up Using vehicle diagnostic tools Data acquisition & data collation Facility & instrumentation calibration Successful vehicle technicians will have proven experience, working within a specialist role at a dealership or independent garage. Experience working with Electric Vehicles would be a distinct advantage but by no means essential. Due to the environment and from a Health and Safety point of view, individuals with at least level 3 NVQ are preferred.
