Vehicle Technician – Washington (Tyne & Wear) Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 Basic | OTE £32,000 – £42,000+ The Role We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop in the Washington area. You’ll be working on a range of vehicles, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities * Service, maintain, and repair vehicles to a high standard * Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment * Carry out brakes, clutches, suspension, and engine work * Complete MOT prep and testing (if qualified) * Ensure all work is completed efficiently and safely * Maintain accurate job cards and records Requirements * NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) * Experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic * Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills * MOT licence (desirable) * Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer * £32k–£42k realistic OTE (bonus + overtime) * Training and development (including EV & diagnostics) * Modern workshop and equipment * Pension, holiday, and staff discounts * Career progression opportunities
