We want our people to stay · Opportunity to work on a huge variety of vehicles JOB DESCRIPTION: Senior Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic - Automotive As our Vehicle Technician, you’ll be joining our team of Technicians in our fully equipped independent garage. You’ll be servicing and repairing an extremely broad range of vehicles, from modern, top of the range cars (including EV), right through to classic cars. As an independent garage, we carry out a wide range of work such as: servicing, MOT’s, diagnostics, wheel alignments, air-con, braking systems and mechanical repairs such as engines, clutches and gearboxes. We provide the specialist tools you’ll need to carry out the day to day works in the garage. As our Senior Vehicle Technician, you’ll have experience of working on various services and repairs across a broad range of cars. As a minimum you’ll: · Understand diagnostic systems and procedures. We use a variety of systems and diagnostic equipment, but don’t worry you’ll be fully trained on any systems you don’t know · Be able to complete all routine maintenance, whether it be servicing, brakes, auto electrical, fuel systems, suspension and anything else · Be competent and motivated to carry out repair work, regardless of how big or small the project is PERSON SPECIFICATION: Senior Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic - Automotive As our Senior Vehicle Technician, it’s likely you’ll have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) and you’ll be highly experienced. You’re going to have a broad knowledge of various vehicles, but a skew to Jaguar / Land Rover / Group or VW / Audi / German specialist would be of particular interest. You’ll also be: · Enthusiastic and keen to develop your own skills · Passionate about automotives, you might restore or modify vehicles in your own time · Willing to share your knowledge and experience to mentor other technicians · Licensed to carry out MOT’s, however this isn’t essential THE COMPANY: As a family run business, we’ve been around for over 60 years, and we plan to be around for many more!
