Do you have a passion for vehicle security and are looking for your next contract position? Expleo are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Safety Engineer on a contract basis located in Essex. This role is a hybrid position and includes travelling to different countries. The successful candidate will further develop their leadership and mentoring skills, guiding program teams through all design stages to ensure optimal security performance for all markets receiving a new vehicle. They will also participate in testing, internal sign off, and external validation/sign off activities. Responsibilities for the Vehicle Security Engineer: Lead discussions with global PD engineers to design vehicle platforms with embedded anti-theft security capabilities. Host and organise Security PAT meetings with program and platform teams. Author, maintain, and report on FEDE requirements and program milestone status. Manage project deliverables from internal service providers and external versifiers. Gather business and technical requirements. Define the scope of security enhancements and obtain buy-in. Develop and manage test schedules. Manage key stakeholder expectations up to the CPE level. Lead change control and configuration management processes. Manage technical content and timing issues and risks, and develop contingency plans. Ensure robust status estimates for each program and milestone/gateway, documented with engineering contacts to demonstrate attribute performance and record commitments from the Global Ford team. Ensure the production of appropriate evidential documents for FEDE results uploads. Collaborate with marketing, FCSD, and other departments to drive security enhancements. Deliver new competitive security strategies in response to real-world threats, changing legislation, and evolving insurance requirements.If you are interested, please contact Hollie @ Expleo UK
