WHAT TO EXPECT JLR’s EMC Technical Team support the wider JLR engineering community with specialist knowledge and expertise in traditional EMC subjects, as well as other electromagnetic related activities such as connectivity and RF robustness. We are now on the search for an EMC Technical Lead Engineer to join the team. You will work on a diverse range of technologies and projects, to work with the wider teams of JLR to problem solve and issue resolution around vehicle and component issues which may arise. No two days will look the same, so we are looking for you to be adaptable to change and excited to get in to stuck into whatever issue is thrown at the team. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Issue resolution. This will include both EMC and more general electrical issues Hands on investigations of field issues, which would involve onsite and offsite measurements Quality processes – analysing field quality data, issue identification, description and root cause analysis Support in the generation of new EMC and Electrical Standards Managing our Dassault TRM and X-RAY process flow  WHAT YOU’LL NEED Relevant previous experience which covers a number of the responsibilities described above Understanding of EMC theory and design principles Practical, hands-on experience of resolving EMC and electrical issues with complex systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experienced user of Test and Measurement equipment (Spectrum Analysers, Oscilloscopes) SO WHY US?
