Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join the dynamic team at our Steer Sunderland Commercial site. About the Role In your role as a VDA Estimator, you will assess a wide range of vehicles from Light Commercial Vehicles toHeavy Goods Vehicles using Audatex to calculate costings and the time required to complete all necessary repairs accurately and professionally. You will regularly liaise with insurance engineers and customers, creating precise damage assessments in accordance with BSI PAS 10125 standards and using the correct repair methods. Your keen attention to detail and professional expertise will ensure that all assessments are conducted with precision and proficiency. Key Responsibilities: * Utilise Audatex software to assess vehicle damage and calculate repair costings efficiently. * Liaise effectively with insurance engineers and customers to ensure clear communication and seamless resolution of issues. * Create precise damage assessments in accordance with BSI PAS 10125 standards and manufacturers’ specifications, ensuring that the correct repair methods are adhered to. * Plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are repaired to the agreed service level agreements (SLA’s). * Maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment. * Work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team. * Be flexible in your approach and continually strive for high standards with customer satisfaction in mind. * Strive for excellence in professionalism and accuracy throughout all stages of the estimation process. About You We are looking for an experienced VDA, with an extensive working knowledge of estimating costs for large scale damages forLCV and HGV,and have experience and confidence in using Audatex. You will also have knowledge and experience of commercial vehicle accident repair. You will be: * Confident in using Audatex for assessments. * Experience and training in estimating damage costs for all types of commercial vehicles. * Able to plan and prioritise your workload effectively. * Capable of working to a high standard in a fast-paced environment. * Able to adhere to manufacturers' specifications. * Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. * Flexible in your approach and committed to achieving high standards with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ideally, you will hold an ATA qualification in Estimating, and we are happy supporting its renewal and your continued training and development.
