Vehicle Crime Specialist - £22.32 per hour, rising to £26.82 per hour – Inside IR35 Our automotive OEM Client based in Dunton; Essex in the United Kingdom are searching for a Vehicle Crime Specialist to join their innovative team.  This is a 4-month contract until 31st December 2024 with option of extension at end of year renewal. Job Description This is an opportunity for an Anti-theft Engineer / Vehicle Crime Specialist to assess designs for resistance to theft attack in line with Thatcham NVSA criteria, appropriateness of specification to IG rating requirements. As the Vehicle Crime Specialist you will perform physical theft attacks, maintain and author Requirements, and track programs through gateways to release. You will also be responsible for organising design reviews with Physical theft / security expert for signoff. Skills Required Fully up to speed on and able to demonstrate Thatcham requirements, physical vehicle attacks, lock picking, electronic attacks to a high standard. Must fully understand the IG rating system. Must be mechanically proficient and diagnostically aware. Dealer level diagnostics experience is desirable. CAD proficiency is desirable. Experience Required 5 years + working in tackling vehicle crime, stolen vehicle examination, working with insurance agents and vehicle / component ID. In addition, experience using diagnostic tools to identify vehicles and parts, is desirable. Education Required Engineering Degree or equivalent life experience. MSc in a related subject, is desirable
