RLE International is working on behalf of their Essex based Automotive Client, who are currently looking for an Anti-Theft Engineer/Vehicle Crime Specialist to support and join their expanding team. Position Description: Anti-theft Engineer - Vehicle Crime Specialist Rate: £29.50 (Via Umbrella PAYE) increasing to £35.65 after 13 weeks under AWR’s – Agency Worker Regulations This role is a varied and highly visible one within the wider Vehicle & Connected Cybersecurity team. Assess designs for resistance to theft attack in line with Thatcham NVSA criteria, appropriateness of specification to IG rating requirements. Perform physical theft attacks. Maintain and author requirements and track programs through gateways to release . Organise design reviews with Physical theft/security expert for signoff. The role will entail an amount of physical ‘on the tools’ work and as such the candidate should be both adequately skilled with hand tools and physically able to perform the tasks which can also involve lifting. We are looking for someone who understands this role from all angles, the law enforcement/insurance/Thatcham side and is capable of assessing designs for robustness against theft attack. Skills Required: Fully up to speed on and able to demonstrate Thatcham requirements, physical vehicle attacks, lock picking, electronic attacks to a high standard. Fully understand the IG rating system. Must be mechanically proficient and diagnostically aware. Skills Preferred: In addition, dealer level diagnostics experience, but not essential. CAD proficiency, but not essential Experience Required: Excellent experience working in tackling vehicle crime, stolen vehicle examination, working with insurance agents and vehicle or component ID Experience Preferred: In addition, experience using diagnostic tools to identify vehicles and parts.
