What do we do? Our client is an Automotive Engineering company that role-converts a wide variety of vehicle types for the Emergency Services, Defence and Specialist fleet operators. Specialist vehicle builds range from front-line Accident and Emergency Ambulances, Police vehicles of all kinds, custodial units and mobile Command & Control units. We pride ourselves in designing and manufacturing market leading vehicle conversions. In short, we build vehicles that matter in support our society in the UK and export vehicles around the world. What does the role entail? * You will be responsible for supporting the production line assembly process and manufacturing our specialist vehicles to a consistently high standard. * Working to very high and demanding standard, consistent with the type of vehicle being manufactured. Skills and experience required? * Worked in an automotive role including the fitment of exterior and interior trim, fitting vehicle flooring, seats, tracking, vents, and window fitting. * Lightweight construction and assembly of in-vehicle storage facilities. * Able to work with all types of trim material, mild steel, s/steel, aluminium, fiberglass, composite, plywood, ABS, general plastics, vinyl, and carpet. * Ability to use a variety of consumable materials, polyester filler, sealants, panel wipe, glues, aerosol paints, and primers. * Ability to use a good range of hand and power tools. * Working in line with Company standards and Health & Safety requirements. * Must be able to follow specific build instructions, take detailed notes and follow installation details. * Must be able to work on own initiative and unsupervised after training. * Must work to a high standard of quality.
