Job Description: Van Technician Location: Basingstoke, UK Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week Salary: £42,000 per annum About the Role We are looking for a skilled and experienced Van Technician to join our team in Basingstoke. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and excellent work-life balance. As a Van Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of light commercial vehicles to ensure they are in top working condition. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on light commercial vehicles (LCVs). Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools. Perform pre-MOT inspections and prepare vans for testing. Replace worn or damaged components such as brakes, suspension parts, and exhaust systems. Ensure all work is completed efficiently and adheres to safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Accurately document all work performed, including parts used and time taken. Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues and repair needs when required. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working condition.Requirements Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Van Technician or similar role. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent. Strong knowledge of van systems, diagnostics, and repair methods. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship. A valid UK driving licence.What We Offer Competitive salary of £42,000 per annum.
