APU Supervisor Southend, Essex £DOE JOB PURPOSE: The APU Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the repair and overhaul of GTCP 85 and 36 series APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) and components, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: - Overhaul, inspect, and repair GTCP 85 and 36 series APU and components following original manufacturer manuals and instructions. - Maintain and uphold quality standards and procedures. - Research and explore new capabilities and repair methods. - Establish and sustain a safe working environment compliant with legal regulations. - Prepare workshop reports and material reviews to support customer estimate creation by the purchasing and commercial departments. - Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety requirements are met. - Understand and meet customer needs consistently. - Assist in training team members. - Familiarity with the company's Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE) and procedures. - Perform any additional duties assigned by the Company. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Experience with GTCP 85 series APU and/or GTCP 36 Series APU. - Understanding of maintenance, repair, and overhaul requirements for aircraft components according to EASA Pt 145 regulatory standards. - Aviation industry background essential, with previous experience in a similar role preferred. - Proficiency in MS Office and business systems and procedures. - Ability to interpret manuals and document inspection findings accurately. - Strong planning and organizational skills. - Effective man-management and coaching abilities. - Collaborative team player with excellent written and oral communication skills. - Safety-conscious with keen attention to detail
