JOB PURPOSE The role of the Trainee Service Advisor is to: Gain an understanding and knowledge of all aspects of the vehicle service department, throughout a period of introduction. Department/Business/Location: Service department Reports to: Service Manager KEY RESPONSIBILITIES To handle customer enquiries and queries promptly and efficiently. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Qualify service and customer requirements to aid diagnosing of vehicle problems where appropriate. Establish understanding and an agreement with the customer of the work to be carried out. Accurately maintain the service department loading system in line with workshop capacity. Manage the handover and administration of loan vehicles. Explain the work carried out on vehicle ensuring customers full authorisation and understanding. Understand and adhere to manufacturer service requirements. Maintain relevant systems always ensuring accuracy. Maintain safe working practices and abide by the working rules and standards of the business. Skills & Requirements Essential Smart appearance. Energy and enthusiasm. Attention to detail. Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT. Desirable Full UK driving licence. Understanding of basic vehicle design, function and location of parts. Experience Desirable No experience required
