Cooks Transport Engineers is a very well established commercial vehicle repair Centre based in Gray’s Essex. Due to our expansion and growth we are looking for an Trainee M.E.T , Mechanical Electrical and Trim fitter to join our team working towards ATA qualification. We carry out bodywork repairs to a variety of commercial vehicles both light and heavy and there is a wide and diverse range of vehicles in and out at all times. The ideal candidate will have some automotive mechanical experience, would be an advantage . Skills an trainee will learn * Undertake appropriate job preparation prior to commencing repair * Diagnostic checks on vehicle * Stripping and Fitting Vehicles before and after paint. * Stripping and Fitting bumpers and doors. * Identify and communicate supplementary parts where required. * Replacing panels. * Repairing Exterior Plastics. * Re-assembling the vehicle with new parts as required to pre-accident condition. * Diagnose and fix faults within a vehicle management system
