Test Rig Engineer - Role type: Permanent - Location: Leamington Spa (Hybrid) - Salary/Rate: Negotiable DOE Recruit12 have a great opportunity to work for an established engineering consultancy specialising in powertrain, driveline and transmissions projects to a variety of sectors. This is a hands-on role that will require collaboration with the wider engineering teams daily. There will be opportunities to develop product design experience. Your overall responsibilities will consist of: - Operate, maintain and develop a new electrified powertrain rig. - Build, modify and test electrified powertrain subsystems including electrics motors and inverters. - Manage the electrified powertrain test facilities. What you need: - Extensive experience in the test and development of motor and electronic/power electronic systems. - Extensive experience building and modifying motor and electronic/power electronic systems including harness manufacture, motor winding and the use of soldering equipment. - Knowledge and experience of building, operating and maintaining high voltage loaded test cells. - Experience using Labview, Veristand, CANape & Matlab. - Configured, installed and operated environmental and fluid conditioning units. - Contributed to the development of test plans. - Experience executing test plans and presenting test results in a clear and organised manner. - Good interpersonal & organisational skills. - High level of attention to detail.
