Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an innovative and dynamic manufacturer based on the outskirts of Leeds to recruit a Technical Support and Training Manager. Working within the Aftermarkets department, this is a rare opportunity for a Technical Support and Training Manager to support and manage all elements of technical training and technical support globally. Our client is looking for someone who has proven ability to develop, motivate and mentor a team,  leads from the front, embraces change and promotes continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience at Supervisor/Manager level within technical and complex assembly manufacturing, or a service/refurbishment environment. Duties and responsibilities of the Technical Support and Training Manager include: Developing and implementing business plans, strategies, and cases to support the development of the training requirement globally Liaise with external providers to support current and projected training along with product knowledge Liaise with internal departments on the progression of service and repair requirements Handling the customer professionally and politely and kept fully aware of developments from technical enquiries Collate reports that are processed in an accurate, timely and legible manner  Ensure that all technical documentation is made available to staff including engineering drawings  Identify areas of improvement and subsequently drive continuous improvement across the team Co-ordinate E-Learning across all platforms along with appropriate levels of qualification and accreditation Responsibility for diagnostic software releases and equipment with a view of having a diagnostic equipment lead in each service centre To succeed in this Technical Support and Training Manager role you will need the following skills and experience: Technical experience with large transport vehicle manufacturing, service, or refurbishment in an industrial manufacturing/production environment Demonstrable experience of diostiec equipment  Experience with training and mentoring production or service engineering teams Experience with business case planning and development Exceptional communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with all members of the business and external customers A proven track record of managing/supervising people and managing relationships with key stakeholders Clean driving license – this role requires extensive travel This is a truly unique opportunity and one that would suit someone from a manufacturing/refurbishment service background.
